Vendor Onboarding Statuses
Your Vendors page and payouts table show two statuses for each vendor. Setup Status tells you whether Lumanu can pay the vendor. Verification Status shows how far they are through Lumanu’s checks.
You can add, approve, and fund payouts for a vendor at any status. Lumanu releases the money once their Setup Status is Completed.
Setup Status
Invited: The vendor doesn’t have a Lumanu account yet. You’ve invited them, or added a payout for their email address.
In Progress: The vendor has a Lumanu account but hasn’t finished onboarding. Lumanu can’t pay them yet.
Completed: The vendor has finished onboarding, and Lumanu can pay them.
Verification Status
Verification has three parts: account setup, tax information, and identity verification. The status reflects all three.
Not started: The vendor hasn’t started verification.
In progress: The vendor has started, and at least one part isn’t finished yet.
Needs update: Lumanu needs updated information for at least one part, such as a newer tax form or document. The vendor needs to resubmit it.
Verification failed: Lumanu couldn’t verify at least one part. The vendor can contact support at vendors@lumanu.com for next steps.
Completed: All three parts are verified.
Why the two statuses can differ
Setup Status only moves forward. Once a vendor reaches Completed, it stays Completed. Verification Status can change later. For example, if Lumanu needs a newer tax form, Verification Status changes to Needs update while Setup Status stays Completed.
Filter by status
In your payouts table, filter by Setup status or Verification status to show vendors who are Completed or Incomplete.
Each vendor also gets a Lumanu ID once they’re onboarded. It identifies them across Lumanu more reliably than an email address. See What Is a Lumanu ID (LUID)?
